Since 1967, Westside Community Services has been dedicated to meeting the behavioral health needs of our local community. We support families coping with the grief and loss of loved ones; individuals affected by the multigenerational impacts of substance use and violence; veterans carrying “hidden wounds” and their families enduring the stress of separation and danger; neighbors struggling with the loss of jobs or housing in challenging economic times; and individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness who require medication, treatment, and daily life support.

For six decades, Westside has been deeply rooted in serving San Francisco’s African American community and other vulnerable populations. We stand with those who are fragile, marginalized, or navigating life’s most difficult transitions. Guided by the principle of community for community, our programs are designed by and for the people we serve. Through integrated educational, health, and social services, we continue to strengthen our neighborhoods—evolving to meet the ever-changing mental health and wellness needs of our city with accessible, culturally responsive, and high-quality care.
