AIDS Case Management and Home Health Care Programs Welcome Chinese Delegation
December 2010
On December 6, 2010, Westside AIDS Case Management Program was honored with a visit from a Chinese delegation organized by He’nan Provincial Population and Family Planning Commission of China. The delegation, consisting of mayors, deputy mayors, health commissioners and various other Chinese city and provincial officials. W, and our program was selected as one of their two trainings on AIDS Prevention, while in the United Sates.
As one of the oldest providers of HIV services to high-risk populations in San Francisco, our agency and the Chinese delegation mutually believed that this was valuable learning experience.
The delegation also expressed strong interest in our Home Care Program, which has provided hundreds of San Francisco residents living with AIDS, services that have helped them to remain in their homes during the later stages of their illness.
The delegation, in a gesture of thankfulness, bestowed a traditional gift to staff for sharing their passion and expertise.
